High blood pressure?

Yesterday I wasn't feeling too great. My BP was 130/90. This morning I woke up and my hands were noticiably swollen, my face is blood red, BP is 135/95. Called my Dr, but it's been over an hour and the on-call hasn't called me back yet. Is this high enough to be concerned?

I’d go in just go be sure. Could be signs of preeclampsia .

Yeh that would be high enough for them to worry about. A diastolic of 90 hits the criteria for pre eclampsia (from my own personal experience) and the swelling is also worrying. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had protein in your urine as well. Do you have a headache ?

Depending on your normal, it could certainly be elevated but (per my OB) isn’t a cause for concern until your readings are consistently above 160/100. I’d still mention it to the doctor, but try to calm down and relax. Lay on your left side for 20 minutes or so and it should go back down 😊 
Personally, at my 36w4d appt I had been feeling like shit for about a week & my bp was 142/100!! The appointment before that I was 102/60 which is my normal as I run low... it’s never been over 110/70 my entire pregnancy so of course I was super concerned. My OB ensured me that while yes, these numbers are certainly elevated for me, that they’re not within “red flag” range & that until the numbers rise above 160/100-110 then induction wouldn’t be necessary. I wasn’t spilling protein in my urine, and although I’ve been having vision changes I haven’t had any headaches so she said we’ll “keep an eye on it” and recommended induction at 39 weeks to be on the safe side.

I had a couple of readings over 140 on the top and was told I should be induced at 37 weeks. They would have done the same for readings over 90 on the bottom.

Yup. I got induced when my blood pressure was that high.

It is a little high I have been running 140/80 and was diagnosed with gestational hypertension. I have not yet received a preeclampsia diagnosis but I’m being seen twice a week for monitoring.
