Questions, sorry new to this

Melissa

So I'll start off saying I see my doctor on May 13th and will absolutely ask her everything. Also I'm sorry this will be so long. But I wanted some advice or maybe just to vent before then, I don't know. At the end of last year, a doctor in AZ diagnosed me with endometriosis based on my medical history. She prescribed me birth control (she tried 3 different ones between July and February). I just moved to Germany per military orders and made an appointment to see the OB GYN here due to my birth control almost being gone and it making my periods and cramps MUCH worse. She thinks I do indeed have endometriosis and prescribed me a new birth control to try and said if it doesn't work within 3-4 months we can try a new one. I was previously on a progestin based one that made it worse, so this new doctor wanted to try me on an estrogen based one, provided I had no blood clot disorders. I told her no (I was tested 1.5 years ago and they came back negative, even though my sister and halfway family have Thalassemia). Well she ordered me lab work and an ultrasound to look for fibroids and cysts (that is scheduled for the 20th) and my labs came back showing I tested positive for Thalassemia. She had mentioned before that she didn't want me on estrogen in I had thalassemia so I'm not sure what to expect now. Progestin made my supposed endometriosis worse, yet I can't have estrogen if I have the thalassemia. She mentioned if the birth control didn't work we could do a laparoscopic surgery and biopsy? Any insight on this at all or has anybody been through this? I'm having some people mentioning that she might bring up getting a hysterectomy and I'm only 25. Again, sorry this is so long but I'm trying not to panic or worry. Which I'm great at unfortunately. Anyways, thanks to anybody who can help !
