How do you time feeds?

How do you calculate the time between feeds?
For example, If my son started feeding at 8pm and finished at 8:30pm and the next feed is at 10:30pm did he eat 2.5 or 2 hours ago?
Do you time it from the beginning or from the end ?

Beginning of the feed to the beginning of the next feed

You start from the beginning. So if your lo starts @ 8pm then nurses again @ 10:30, he was ready to eat 2 1/2 hours later
