When is a good time to pack a hospital bag?

Just had a pregnancy scare last night around 11PM and I’m 29weeks almost 30. I know it’s still way too early but while I was getting ready to go to the hospital last night I was not prepared for anything. Baby was not moving and also had breathing problems. I’m back home now baby and I are okay! He’s also moving as well. But just curious when is a good time to start packing a hospital bag!? (:

I don’t think it’s ever too early to be prepared. I am 32 weeks and am thinking to do it soon. Better to be safe, than sorry.

I had a scare at 28 weeks found out I’m already 50% effaced but closed thank God! I got my two steroid shots and I have been on bedrest since. My bag is packed waiting by my bedroom door and I just washed all of my sons clothes and bedding just in case (last night) . I’m high risk because of my blood pressure problems before pregnancy and thankfully that hasn’t been an issue my whole pregnancy. I haven’t had any contractions or nothing so my ob and high risk ob were shocked. The only thing keeping my son from engaging my cervix is my 10 cm fibroid, yes you read that correctly my TEN CM FIBROID. We are just praying he can wait until at least 36 weeks. 32 weeks today, I’m packing tomorrow. Granted my OB thinks this baby is coming sooner because I got pregnant within three months of giving birth last time. They also think once I go into labor, this will be a super quick labor and delivery, so I want to be prepared to run out of the house when I feel like baby is coming.

I just did mine today because I had seen so many people going into labor early or being out on bed rest. I’m 29 weeks tomorrow. I also finished as much as I could of his nursery and closet. We are still waiting on a few items to come at the beginning of June. I also still need to sterilize our bottles but we are planning to breast feed on demand but just Incase that doesn’t work I want to be ready.

I pack right at that stage I'm 32w now and got everything possible ready hospital bag at home birth bag car birth bag and a baby diaper bag full of random stuff I have OCD I never can make up my mind to one thing and stick to it I literally prepare like it's a war .. fearing an unprepared birth

I pack mine as I go. Her bag is pretty much already packed and it’s good to at least have a list for your bag as it’s kinda hard to pack our bags this early but at least having a list allows your spouse to know what you need in case you are not able to pack it on your way to the hospital. But anything you won’t need from now until baby is born you can go ahead and toss in your bag and just check it off your list.

Whenever you want! Probably after 30 weeks for most. I just ordered a couple things that should come in about a week and will pack mine shortly after that so probably 32-33 weeks for me.

I had my son at 37 weeks so I’ve already started to pack mine and my daughters hospital bag. I want to be prepared just in case she decides to show up when her brother did.

I’m doing mine tomorrow. 30w3. My mom had all of us kids early and with my husband being gone on deployment i want to be prepared Incase something happens
