Ttc after D&C

It's been 4 weeks since I had my D&C and I started me period. The doctor wrote me a prescription for clomid and told us we could start trying after I have a period. At first I was all gung ho and wanted to start immediately but after starting my period I'm having mixed feelings. I'm a little scared to start trying, what if it happens again. I don't know if I could do another D&C so soon if things failed. Anyone else going through these feelings when they started trying again?
