Is it true that it is ineffective if you’re ovulating?

A bit nervous. I had sex twice last night and I’m on day 4 in my fertile window. With a 28% chance of pregnancy according the the app.

I plan to take a plan b in the morning but I’m nervous it won’t be effective in the event that my egg has already been released.

If it doesn’t work, what affects will it have on me or the fertilized egg?

Just some backstory, hubby and I have been trying but very recently decided to stop bc we hit a financial rough spot. Regardless, a pregnancy would be beautiful but not ideal right now. We probably should’ve taken precautions but it happens.
