Is it weird that I dont usually want splurge items for my birthday?

I started a new soap business on etsy and I REALLY want to have compostable shipping labels. Apparently those are very hard to find and the only ones in the right size are on a role... so I cant use regular printers to print them out. Would it be weird if i asked for one of these special printers for my birthday? Good ones are $200 and cheaper ones start at around $60. I already invested a decent bit into initial supplies, ingredients, and materials. I would love to buy more but I have to wait for business to pick up first.

I've always loved practical gifts.... would it be super weird to ask for that?
