First Flight With Baby - Nursing Pillow??

Seraphina • ✨ FTM to my beautiful Honeybun 🤱🏽💕 💖 12.23.18 💖 Proof miracles happen 🙏🏽 👰🏽 Married to the love of my life 😍

I am leaving on first flight with babe this Weds and I am curious about bringing my Boppy pillow onboard the aircraft...

At first I thought I was going to stuff it in my carry on suitcase but that would limit SO much of my own belongings needed 😞

Then I read while researching travel tips with an infant about a mom that highly recommended carrying a nursing pillow on the plane if opting for lap baby and that IT DIDNT COUNT TOWARDS CARRY ON LIMIT...

My question is, does anyone know if this is true?!?! Anyone have experience with flying with a nursing pillow/Boppy that can shed some light on this debate I’m having???

How did y’all fly with a nursing pillow?

Or did you not?

I DO strongly feel to is necessary to bring, as I will be visiting family in 3 separate states for an indefinite period of time.

If you have any other tips for flying with an infant for the first time, that is welcome too!

for additional details on what I am bringing.

So far I’ve gotten tips for nursing during takeoff/landing... bringing a new toy... checking stroller and car seat at gate... I bought a car seat cover off recommendation by a mom on here (thanks girl) and that we get a different TSA line (have bottle and breast milk ready to be checked), I plan on wearing a fabric wrap and have been told LO would need to be out for TSA and possibly takeoff/landing (prolly do anyway since nursing then).

Since it is going to be at least a 3 week trip... what else do y’all suggest I take? I’m checking her Pack N Play.

If I confirm a Boppy can be carried on and not count toward limit (already have carry on suitcase plan on filling with my items and baby clothes etc. .. and diaper bag as personal item)... then I think I could stuff this travel bassinet in the suitcase too (bonus!) But, not absolute necessity since bringing pack n play. Just would be nice to have another options to set babe down or for out at a park etc.

All comments welcome! Thank you!
