Breastfeeding, formula and jaundice.
Hello everyone.
I love exclusive breastfeeding and I did it for 6 months with my first child. Now I have my second child I wanted to do the same but after waiting over 2 weeks his jaundice didn’t disappear and the doctor recommended to supplement with formula. I have been supplementing his feeds with formula for over 2 weeks now and it’s getting to a point that I don’t think I will be able to go back to exclusive feeding. He eats so much because I give him the two breasts and then he drinks around 2-3 oz of formula.
I don’t regret it though because I really think he got so much better since I started supplementing. However, I think he is still a bit yellow. Am I going mad? The doctors said he is a bit yellow but it’s okay and it will go. How much should it take to completely go?
Thanks you.
