Is having a 100k+ in student loans worth a nursing degree?

Okay, I graduated from a private college in 2015 with an associates degree in medical assisting. I then transferred to a 4 year private college where I received my BS in health science. My goal was to stay at that 4 year school and enroll in their Physician Assisting program, until I found out the PA program cost $115k. So, I was thinking of other careers that would be similar to PA, and I decided nursing. I love the health field and it has always been my passion.

A month ago I seen all of my student loans together, which is currently $65k. I fell into a depression because I said to myself there is no way I could ever pay this off, especially because I can’t find a job at all with just a health science degree. I am currently working 2 part time jobs. I live in Westchester NY and it seems to be only private colleges around me. I found another school who has a good post bachelorette degree program for nursing, but the thing is it costs $59k.

Do, you think it would be worth it to do this program, because at least I would have an actual career? The starting salary for nursing where I live is around, 67k. I don’t have any children right now either. Everyone around me keeps telling me to not put it off because of the price. But, I just don’t know what to do at this point.
