Top cleaning secrets? And schedules?

I keep a fairly clean home but there’s definitely room for improvement. Out of curiosity, what chores do you do daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc. Also what are your favorite tips/tricks for keeping a fresh, clean home. I walk into some homes and they just always feel crisp and clean and I’m like... what am I missing in my own home??? I’m always cleaning yet it never feels clean to me! lol

I like to have a minimalist mindset when it comes to decor- I feel like less is more and then it always looks tidy without really having to do much. 
Also the waste basket method- keep a box or basket of any kind ( I use a laundry basket) and keep it on each floor of your home. Every time you see something that belongs upstairs and that item is downstairs, put it in the basket. Do the same for the other basket that’s on the opposite floor. Every time you need to go upstairs/downstairs, take the basket with you and put the items away. 
It seems simple but it really helps.
