Telling Mom I have Herpes

I just recently got diagnosed with herpes and I’m very scared to tell my mom. She has it as well but I know she’s gonna be upset and sad about it. I don’t want her to be mad/angry at my boyfriend (he gave it to me) cause he didn’t know about it until after we had sex. I don’t want her to feel bad for me either. How do I break it to her?
