Honestly with my first I was so scared. I did nothing but read birth stories and god some of them are terrifying. I had no idea what to expect with it being my first and I was so scared about the pain, how long labor would be, how much it would hurt (even if I got the epidural), how much the epidural would hurt, how bad my vajayjay would hurt during and after labor, I mean the list went on. But honestly it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I expected. I mean it was in a sense but it truly was over before I knew it and I sometimes even forget bits and pieces now and my son will only be 2 this month. Obviously every labor/delivery is different. But for me I felt like it was perfect! Yes contractions are painful, especially when they are back to back and you don’t get breaks. The epidural was a god send! It pinched a bit while they were doing it but honestly the contractions were ten times worse so I was thrilled to have a little added pain to get a ton of relief. Hardest part is sitting still for them to do it while having contractions. Once I had the epidural I didn’t have any more pain. I could barely feel my contractions and pushing didn’t hurt even the slightest. Only felt some pressure. I even got a second degree tear that they stitched up and I never would have known if they didn’t tell me. I was a bit uncomfortable after everything was over. The vajayjay definitely was sore. But that’s like the least of your worries now that your little one is in your arms. I’m not going to lie, I am actually pretty excited about labor this time 🤣 idk maybe I’m a bit crazy. But there is something so empowering about giving birth and that end result!

Im a total baby about headaches or stubbed toes or hangnails.  But my two unmedicated deliveries were fine.   They were work, but it felt like a good hard run or a great yoga class - good strong work.

This is baby number five for me. I have three babies earthside. I’ve never had an epidural. Honestly take a birthing class. They help so much. I’m actually excited for labor but more or less I’m excited to have this baby and to be able to bring it home.

It's something I've dreaded my whole life lol. I'll get a sudden realization during the day that there's only 1 way out 😳 but, our bodies are meant to do this 🤷‍♀️

Ive given birth twice and i'm a giant baby.  It's not as bad as it's made ot too be i promise.  I was in labor for 26 hours with my first and 18 with my second.  By the time your hallway through the third trimester you'll be welcoming labor! My only birth fear is if i need a section for some reason.  Those scare the hell out of me

Aw take a really good class (not just a hospital class)! I will say Bradley method is great if you like all the information and hypnobabies is great for just relaxing and staying calm. I think being prepared helps so much! Our bodies were made for this ❤️

It’s not as bad as people make it out to be thankfully. My first pregnancy was super fast (only in active labor 4hrs). I made it to 8cm before I got an epidural. One that epidural took affect, it was no pain.. just a pressure feeling (like you need to poop). I honestly think recovery was worse then labor (I fractured my tailbone during labor and had horrid hemorrhoids for 8wks after birth).
