Is allergies normal during early pregnancy?

Is it even a symtom or could it just be she has allergies. She has never really had them before though

Doctor told me I probably have eczema. I’d never had it before, and then I’m itching like crazy behind my knees and in the crook of my elbows. Most of the red spots are gone with coconut oil lotion, but the inside elbows are itchy now after a few weeks of nothing. And I live on Benadryl with my sinuses being so clogged. My guy said he’s never seen anyone use so many tissues.

Minor, normally unnoticeable allergies can creep up during pregnancy because your body is responding differently to pathogens. This is what my doctor told me when I broke out in hives last week - I didn’t have any known allergies either. Probably a good idea to speak with a doctor about it.
