Infant car seat/travel system or convertible car seat?!

We are thinking about getting a convertible car seat for my baby daddy’s truck (because the baby will primarily be with me) and a travel system for my car.  But I want to hear your experience! 
Also, there are so many options! Which ones did you choose? How did you choose?

We bought the Britax travel system with an extra car seat base for baby daddy’s truck. 
The stroller is very smooth, 3-wheeled, rubber tired and light. 
Haven’t had baby yet, but it’s a pretty nice unit. Cost approx $800 CAD

Graco Click system. Got car seat bases for both cars. That way you just click in the car seat - super fast. Infant seat is perfect- still use it for my 15mo old. The infant car seat also clicks into the graco stroller without needing additional attachments.

Graco Modes Click Connect is what we have. Held up great and I still use the stroller for my 2 year old.

Uppababy vista is amazing!  Especially if you are going to have more than one kid (don’t know if it would be worth the price if you only have one kid).

Why not get the travel system for your car with an extra base for his truck??

It’s totally fine to use a convertible from birth (but some convertibles do fit little babies better than others so do your research), but if you’re already getting an infant seat you might just want to get a second base for your husbands car.

I got the evenflo pivot expand travel system and I have the safety first 3 in 1 convertible car seat! Love them both and would have done anything differently

Honestly I had a safety first set that’s lightweight and good quality. The whole set cost only 169 and it’s awesome. I think spending 300-600 is ridiculous when you can get one cheaper that’s just as good
