I am getting a head start on my search for childcare. Daycare centers near me are on a wait list for 15 months for infants! I checked care.com and for the most part it lists college kids looking for summer work, or nannies. I was hoping to find people who run in-home centers, or a SAHM who is willing to watch a few more kids, but these seem hard to find. I also checked local FB groups and the options are slim, especially trying to find one close to us that would even have an opening for an infant.

What did you all do?

Did you get placed on several waiting lists and see which opened up after you gave birth?

Did you pay a deposit to lock in your spot long before you gave birth?

Did you find an in-home provider or a center?

Did family offer to help you out?
