I know I sound dumb

But I met this really great guy who has HSV-2 and I really don’t care about hike status at all because he’s hot and caring. I asked all my friends and they think it’s really weird for me to continue to see him. My question is, is it weird to date someone HSV positive if you’re negative. I know there’s this stigma around it especially in America but I’m unaffected.
