My mom has been friends with a family since she was in high school. There are 3 daughters and 1 son. The middle daughter has 1 son that’s probably about 15/16. She then had another boy that sadly died of SIDS. It was very hard on her. That was when the oldest was probably 6. After the baby died she turned to drugs really hard. She lost her oldest and moved away. Since then she has had 2 daughters, her older sister adopted them both so they wouldn’t go to foster care. Both girls were born addicted. She just announced she is once again pregnant. Not only will this baby most likely be born addicted, the mother is homeless and living in the streets and had decided to keep the baby. She thinks it will “help keep her clean”. If she couldn’t do it for any of the other kids we are doubtful she will with this one. We hope she can get her stuff together though.

My rant is that I just don’t understand why it’s women like this that constantly get to get pregnant, but so many good women who want it so badly can’t. It’s just infuriating to me.

To the person asking if I’ve offered help, you CANNOT help someone that does not want help. She refuses anything and everything. Her sister adopted both of her daughters for her, her family has done everything they can, she does not want help. Addiction may be a disease, but it’s one that involves choice. She could choose to accept help, she could choose to get fixed, she could choose to get clean. Instead she chooses to ignore everything and live life like it has no consequences. And don’t tell me to “fuck right off”. I am entitled to my opinion and am allowed to voice it. If you want to act that way you can “fuck right off” my post. ✌🏻
