When should we announce our pregnancy?

Me and my SO found out that we’re pregnant w/ our first and I’m 4 weeks, so this Saturday I’ll be 5 weeks. I wanna tell our families that we’re expecting on Mother’s Day but he saying it’s too early. I know it’s early as well but if anything happens, god forbid anything does happen I want support as this would be our first.

I’ve had pregnancy losses in the past and each time we told our immediate family. Not friends just parents and siblings. I am currently 5weeks 3days and our families all know. Personally it makes me feel more comfortable as they have been there to support us during our losses. Do whatever you and your partner feel comfortable with.

This is very personal decision. We always tell our family and close friends right away and announce publicly after first ultrasound. With our son that was at 6weeks, will be 7 this time around. We went through infertility and early loss and want to celebrate. Also God forbid if something happened I want support.

I’m telling my family this weekend at 6 weeks. I told them early on last pregnancy, and I miscarried, but I do not regret it at all. I couldn’t imagine going through it without their support. ❤️

I would tell them! I’m 4 weeks 5 days. We’re telling our parents tonight. We’ve had 3 previous miscarriages in the last 9 months (and a daughter that’s almost 2) and never told them and now we’re going to tell them everything. It kind of feels like a weight is being lifted off my shoulders.

With our first we told them around 6 weeks. Pregnant now with our second, going to be 5 weeks and we plan to tell our immediate families on Mother’s Day. I’m aware how coming miscarriages are now, and I’m slightly paranoid it could happen. But I think having the extra support from my family would be SO needed. But Lord willing none of us have miscarriages!

I personally waited with my first until 10 weeks just to be safe. I wanted to do it with an ultrasound and it's just a little farther along. But do what ya feel!!

We just told my parents today... My boyfriend and I are newly long distance (3 hours) so we felt it would be good to have their support during the days we don’t see each other.  It’s super early but it’s good to have someone close by that I can talk with if I need anything.  Oh man... still can’t believe it’s real 🥰

I’m in the same boat. I have had a miscarriage before and had already told our family. It was soooo awful but they were so supportive. Even if it did happen again (pray to God it doesn’t) I would still tell them.

I would personally wait. It'll be six weeks on Friday and we are waiting until I'm 12 weeks. With my first pregnancy I told when I was 7 weeks, and ended up having a miscarriage.
