Induction?

Going to induce at 39 weeks. We had planned a c section but at my last appointment baby was not as big as my OB anticipated he would be so we are going to induce and try vaginally first. Talk to me about inductions. How many weeks were you when you induced? How far dialated were you before you started the induction? Medication? Or the balloon thing? Did your doc break your water or strip membranes? AND: how long after induction before baby was born? Complications? Thanks in advance!

What’s the reason for you getting an induction? My water broke at 36 plus 5 and they started me on the drip to get things moving as my blood pressure was high so they wanted baby out. The contractions were very painful and just constant no break in between. Baby’s heart rate dropped several times and he was facing the wrong way. His heart rate got to be too much of a concern so I was rushed for a c sec. I firmly believe if they had let it progress naturally he wouldn’t have been in distress and needed the c sec. the drugs really sped things up and it was just too much for him. I went from 2cm to 10cm and pushing in about 4 hours.

First induction: 39+4, induced due to low amniotic fluid. I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Had 12 hours of cervidil followed by pitocin. My water broke on it’s own after 11.5 hours of cervidil. Total time from start to delivery was 21 hours. Successful vaginal delivery, no complications. 
Second induction: 39+1, elective induction. I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. This time was the Foley Bulb followed by pitocin. Doctor broke my waters. Total time from start to delivery was 16 hours. Successful vaginal delivery, no complications.

Ok this os gonna be long but it might help somehow lol.   I had my menbranes stripped at 40w1d thursday and was set for induction at 40w5d monday night. I was 1 cm and like 50% effaced  
Saturday night i started having mild semi regular contractions  was up all night as they were just enough to keep me awake.  Sunday i had them on and off and then sunday night they started back very regular and stronger but still not close enough together.    I had moderate contractions 10-15min apart all of sunday night and all of monday.  I went in at 10 pm monday night to start induction with cytotec and they determined i was having regular enough contractions and was 2 cm and more effaced so they waited.   By tuesday morn they had spaced out and i had finally rested for a couple of hours.   So they started pitocin at 6am and hold cow it HURT my contractions were on top of each other and i was having horrible back labor.   So i got the epidural (hallelujah) and got some rest and was progressing ab a cm every hour. But when i hit 7cm i stopped dilating.   So we tried changing positions etc and waited several hours  with zero progress and babys heart rate dropped a few times but not bad  so my dr came in and started diacussing a csection when his heart rate dropped big time so they were flipping me all over trying to get it back up and were fixing to rush me to the or when it came back up.  So we decided a csection was in both our best intrest.     
So at 6pm on tuesday my son was born via csection healthy as could be.  The issue was he was face up and his head was coming with his chin up as well so the largest part of his skull was trying to come through my pelvis and it just wasnt working.

I was 36+6 weeks. 7 cm dilated and 80 percent effaced. Doctor wanted to induce me for a few weeks because of blood pressure but I declined and she finally said I didn’t have a choice. Plan was to break my water and start pitocin. Well.... she broke my water and 53 mins later I was holding my baby girl.
