Why does taking apart a test make it invalid?

Is this even true? I took mine apart and was careful not to touch the strip. Saw a vvfaint line when I opened it. And I opened it because the glare from the screen was awful!

It’s not true for all tests. Some tests have a case purely for presentation. There’s no plastic cover or anything so it’s fine. Completely enclosed and digitals shouldn’t be opened but even then ones that aren’t digital have openings for airflow so those aren’t necessarily invalid either.

Here’s my theory: if there is what you think is a faint line, you test in two days to see if it’s clearer. 
Tests are not made to be taken apart. Why go searching for a chance of disappointment? I know it’s easier said than done but it took me many months of heartbreak to develop a rational approach.
