Does peppermint tea work for IBS?

I know peppermint oil is meant to help, but does peppermint tea? Like the normal stuff you can just buy from any local shop in a tea bag. Advice is welcomed 😊

My family has stuck to the mint or commonly chamomile (I like to get the leaves and mix my own ratio of both, but the sweet dreams mix one from store is good too)
They help with everything from gas, cramps, headache, upset tummy etc. The fresher and stronger the brew the better and I like to just do a bit of honey instead of sugar in mine. 
They are a go too whatever I need cure all kinda thing lol
