When to find out the gender as the parents

We’re going to be doing a gender reveal (controversial around here, I know! Lol) but we’re starting to wonder if we should find out at the ultrasound before everyone else or wait and find out with everyone. Everyone in our family and friends is so excited to find out the gender, I swear it’s not just us lol 
What would you do?!

I never wanted a big gender reveal personally, but IF I was going to do one I think it is was more entertaining as a guest for the parents to find out at the party and get to see their reaction. Otherwise it's them just looking for reaction out of the guests in my opinion.

We found out at the ultrasound with my son. I loved it because it was a more private and special moment for my husband and me. Then we were able to process and talk about it alone without being overwhelmed by everyone around us. Then at our reveal I was able to focus on our families reaction which was way more fun. We are finding out the gender of this baby hopefully tomorrow! I’m planning on doing the same thing 😊😊 then we just lie and tell our families we didn’t know 😂😂😂

I’m torn too. I want to know. Lol I can’t not know. If I find out I wouldn’t tell them I know I’d still act surprised cause I have to know.

If you're going to do a party then why would you find out beforehand? Half the point of the party is for your family to witness your reaction.

I want to have a little mini gender reveal just for me and my husband. Like have my mom have a cupcake made with our results for our daughter to bite or something. I don't want a big party. Just something for us.

My husband said that we should find out at the party, it makes the reaction more authentic. I told him I wanted to find out at the ultrasound so I can see just to be sure 😂

We are hosting a gender reveal party in a week and a half and we will find out at the party! My cousin is the only one who knows and will coordinate the reveal 😊
