My husband told me to “shut the fuck up”

I’m so upset. I’m crying under the covers right now like a little kid.

My husband quit vaping about 2 months ago. He was spending an insane amount on nicotine and he has been smoking/vaping for a decade and his lungs don’t sound good. He decided to quit, and I supported him through that, as I’m pregnant and I can’t be around it anyway.

Fast forward to today, we get in the car and there’s a receipt for black and milds from a gas station. I got upset that he’s smoking again and didn’t tell me. It’s a big lie when you have to go out of your way to cover up the smoke smell, etc.

His defense? I didn’t ask him if he was smoking again so he shouldn’t have to tell me.

He got irritated when I said I was still annoyed and started slamming everything. I told him to stop (with attitude) and he told me to shut the fuck up.

This has NEVER happened before. We’ve been married not even 3 months and I’m 24 weeks pregnant. Every fight just keeps escalating more and more.

He tried to apologize, but I didn’t accept it. Please help.
