Empty Gestational Sac *Update

So I had some brown spotting I'm about 6 weeks today. Yesterday (5 weeks 6days) I went in for an US to check everything out. The doctor only saw the gestational sac she said it was measuring big (not sure what that means) but she couldn't see a yolk sac.

She said my dates may be wrong and I'm earlier or will miscarry and need a d&c. My HCG was 35000 yesterday. I go back in a week to check for growth.

Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm trying to prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Any insight or experience is appreciated as I wait until next week. 😥

Update:

Well guys I went in for my appointment and the doctor found the baby and the heartbeat! I couldn't believe it. I was in total shock. She adjusted my dates and said I ovulated later than I thought. I'm 6weeks and 5 days. I'm updating in hopes that I can help someone else going through the same. I basically kept telling myself expect the worst and hope for the best. I was pleasantly surprised and shocked.
