Am I being bitchy and hormonal?

When I found out I was pregnant in March my friend did not seem happy at all. I was struggling to get pregnant... and she knew how depressed I was every month. It took me about 7 months which isn't so much compared to other but I truly thought it would never happen. Instead of being happy for me she said she was depressed because she thinks she is infertile. Now she is pregnant after trying for 3 months, which is great news but I swear she did this just because I am and was always jealous and trying to compete with me with EVERYTHING I do.

Just wondering why you are friends with someone that you feel this way about? 🤷🏻‍♀️ it sucks that she wasn’t supportive when you found out you were pregnant but I highly doubt she got pregnant just to  compete with you... this just overall sounds sorta childish in my opinion.

When you are trying for a while with no success,  it can be hard to put that hurt aside and be happy for other people that are able to get pregnant. You are allowed to feel hurt that she was not there for you in your happy moment,  but accusing her of getting pregnant just to compete with you seems petty. Furthermore,  you were upset with her for not being happy for you...and now you are not happy for her...so that is a bit hypocritical.

You are. She was struggling to get pregnant to according to her thinking she was infertile. & Even though she wasn’t happy for you, doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have kept trying to get pregnant. She kept trying and happened to get pregnant. 
Just let her be. If you’re not happy then just don’t speak to her 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't think that's the case... I mean if it is I feel bad for her baby, but I think it's a case of over thinking.   I don't think she was thinking about you when she conceived. She may of had a lot of her mind she didn't tell you about and maybe she's been trying for just as long. Not everyone reacts the same. Maybe she didn't know how to react to your good news.  My bro told me him and his girl were having a baby.  I was not happy for them in fact I was angry at them but for reasons I won't get into.  Not everyone is going to take your good news as good news. It's all part of being human.

Yes you are. Talking about struggling to conceive is hard to talk about. I reacted similar to her. It wasnt that i was unhappy for other people but it hurt wishing i was pregnant too. It took me 3 whole years to open up and tell people i was struggling. Infertility or trouble conceiving is a legit thing that affects a lot of women. She'd have to be a real nut case to fake struggling. So i say maybe she experienced struggles too. You cant say she did it to compete without proof.

When I got pregnant my first time, I received so many different kinds of negative responses I was shocked. My closest friends were happy for me but it changed how they were viewing their lives. Each one of them started freaking out about their own lives one way or another. Consider I was 37 when I got pregnant and my friends are my age. Other people who had a difficult time getting pregnant felt annoyed we got pregnant on our first try. I sent one coworker into depression because she started worrying if she could have kids. If it wasn’t one thing it was another. It was the worst feeling I had ever had feeling like no one was happy for me. My pregnancy ended in a miscarriage sadly. When I got pregnant again, let’s just say very few people know this time. I’m sorry you are going through this. I wouldn’t be surprised if she got pregnant because you did first.
