That's generally how it works! Blonde is recessive so there's no dominant gene in either parents, no hidden genes. Except I suppose red hair, if it runs in both sides of the families, can be passed down to your child. Red hair is recessive to blond I believe. Not 100% sure though! My husband has red on his side and is light brown, I'm blonde with no red in my family (except my nephew, but he got that from my SIL) so I'm sure all of our babies will be blonde lol

Hubby and I are both blonde. Both WHITE WHITE blonde as children. Babe had light brown hair at birth (I did as well with 2 blonde parents). The peach fuzz he has coming in now at almost 2 months is blonde
