Long story short I will have to go back to work 7 weeks after the baby is born. I want to pump but I will have to go from 7:30am-11:30am without pumping. Can I make it that long?

It depends on how frequently your baby is still nursing. They legally can't prevent you from taking a pumping break.

Four hours may be a little long to go. If you have a reasonable employer, you can explain that you’re nursing and that you need to pump at least once during that shift. If you have a double pump it will be faster. You’ll be pretty uncomfortable and it could effect your supply if you aren’t able to pump. You can always get a note from your doctor stating that you need to pump.

To clarify, I am a teacher and have students all morning. I can’t take off any longer or I will lose my seniority and someone is getting let go at the end of the year. I need to make sure Its not me. I suppose I could see about class coverage of some sort during that time.
