I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost a year now (end of June it will be a year) and I’ve only met his parents and siblings once. This was back in December when his family got a new puppy. He has never invited me to an occasion to get to know his family since then. I’m super nervous around families of boys I date, I admit, but it would be so nice if he would invite me around for a while. He hangs out with me and my family a lot. I feel very unloved and unimportant. I’m trying to hint at the fact that I have nothing to do for mothers day (my mom doesn’t want to go out or do anything special) and this could be the perfect time for me to get to know them. I don’t know how to express this concern to him. Ugh.
