Should husbands be at the first appointment?

How important do you think it is for husbands to be at the first prenatal appointment? And what about compared to others?

My husband has gone to everyone so far and plans to go to every future one as well. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's his baby too, plus I don't do doctors well so he is my support.

I think the first one is pretty important. Then again, this is my first baby, and I would be bummed if he didn't come with me to all of them.

I want my husband there , mainly for support . Unfortunately my appointment is during a time he can't get off . So I'm taking my sister along . ?

The first one is great because he can hear the heartbeat with you and everything. My doc said the best for him to be there are around 10 weeks and the big 20 week ultra sound. He others are usually just pee in a cup and how are you feeling questions. So he doesn't really need to be there for those

My husband has been at both of the appointments I've had so far. The first one, I really wanted him to be there because prior to it, I had been in the ER for bleeding and we were having an ultrasound at the first appointment to make sure everything was alright. The second appointment, I told him he didn't have to come but he chose to and he sat through my pap smear and blood work (he doesn't like needles). Such a trooper. 
​I have my 3rd appointment on 9/2 and I think he will also come to that one. He likes hearing the heartbeat as well as being there for me.

My hubby went with me but didnt go back to the room because i was having a transvaginal ultrasound (6w/6d). He didnt want to see that. Lol, but he did enjoy seeing our copies of the ultrasound pictures:) He has went to every other appointment though.

Oops, was told they would do a scan at my 1st appt...but my doc is AWESOME & snuck me in! Should have brought the DH. I get to surprise him with a picture now though. :)

My husband went to pretty much all of them with my first most with the second and only the u/s this time and probably won't go to any appointments before she comes haha
