How should I plan to deliver?

Question

Having trouble deciding if I should just plan on having a c-section or if I should try vaginal. I'm afraid something could go wrong with a vaginal delivery with 2. My babies move and flip and turn all the time so I have no idea if they will even be in the right position for it and that is a big factor in the desicion. I'm 23 weeks so I have awhile still to decide I just want to know what you ladies have done and what you think I should do. Thankyou for any advice!!!

I think every woman should try a vaginal birth unless there is a medical reason for them to have a c section.

When I worked in labor and delivery, even if a twin mom planned on having a vaginal delivery we would still do it in the OR. That way we have everything right there and ready if something happens or if baby B decides to flip after baby A is out. After assisting in c-sections for two years, I would not want one if I didn't have to have it. It is great that we can do them when it's the best choice but it's definitely a longer healing time.

I'm 28w2d and just found out both babies are hear down. I'm hoping they stay in that position for another 6-8 weeks and I can deliver vaginally.

I think it's whatever you would be most comfortable with. Talk to ladies that have had c sections and talk to ladies that have had vaginal. I had a c section and loved it. I was up walking the next day, I was off pain meds in under a week, I had no complications whatsoever. The annoying part was not being able to drive myself until the doc released me lol. I have a friend that had a vaginal delivery 6 weeks after mine and it was very traumatic and she had a worse recovery than I did. At the same time I have a friend that almost sneezed her baby out lol. Talk to people, do some research, and then decide for yourself. No matter what way you go, the important thing is that you are content and you and baby make it through with as little problems as possible.

I had my twins vaginally & I was glad I was able to do so. My recovery was not bad at all. I did have to deliver in the OR. I couldn't imagine breastfeeding and caring for two newborns while recovering from a c section. But ultimately do what is in the best interest for you and your babies. You still have time to decide :) I really wanted a VBack and my doctor was ok with that but reminded me that a c-section was always a possibility . I ended up having them VBack thankfully but I had to mentally prepare for the possibility of a c-section .

I'm going through the same I'm 27weeks and had a chat with my consultant I wanted s natural birth but after hearing the complications that could happen with natural of csection I'm literally scared of both options :(

You still have lots of time, twin births can be more complicated than singletons. I wouldn't get your heart set on anything.
