When to go in

Question

At what point do you go in when you think you’re having contractions? I started having them about 30 minutes ago but I have an irritable uterus so I don’t want to go in to be checked just to be sent home. I’m 36 +5 weeks today. I’ve been to the hospital 3 times for my IU and they always just monitor for an hour and send me home. How can I tell between contractions and Braxton Hicks or irritable uterus contractions? I’m a second time mom but I never really labored or felt contractions with my first :/

I had irritable uterus with my 6mo old starting 27weeks reall contractions will not go away with anything and will just get stronger maybe painful and closer together not sure where you live or how far is the hospital here where i live the hospital is 10min away from home and i was told to go in if they were every 5min and lasted for more than 1hr

Drink a bottle of water and lay on your left side. If they slow or stop then it was probably just braxton hicks... I had the same problem with my 2nd and that always did the trick 😁

I had this as well. Drink water, lay down or get in a warm bath. It always calmed my uterus. When my true contractions started I was bent over, crying and couldn’t not move a muscle in my body. They made me feel like my body was in between a vice squeezing me until I would explode.
