My boyfriend lives in Ohio & I live in Puerto Rico.. we’ve been together for two & a half years.. he wanted to come next month for my prom but

1) he’d be coming without his parents approval..

His parents always said no when he asked to come over.. they have the money but they always look for an excuse last minute when they say yes & they end up saying no.. & they they’re scared if him getting kidnapped ir something.. Despite me saying that we’re going to be in a 4 star hotel in the island & he’ll be with me the whole time.. plus kidnappings happen everywhere not just here (it’s actually a bit rare..) but since he’s 19 he told his parents that he doesn’t care if they don’t want him to go, he said that he’ll give them the dates of when he’s leaving & coming back & if they want to come, great, if not, great too..

2) He took too long to get tickets..

He said that he was still trying to tell his dad (pretty sure he doesn’t like me) about the trip and whatever and that he was saving up money for the tickets yet when he had the money he didn’t buy them, he told me he was still trying to tell his dad that he’s leaving no matter what he says but I just think he was just scared of buying them and his dad pulling up some threat for him to not go.. when I come fronted him about it and told him that if he was scared to buy the tickets without his dad’s approval he could’ve just told me and not play with my feelings, he said that he’s ignoring what I said entirely because he’s coming here.. now he’s saying “I don’t want to let you down again” which has me worried..

3) His prom ticket has to be bought before May 15th.. but there’s not confirmation of him coming..

Every prom date has till May 15 to buy the prom ticket or they’ll simply not gonna be allowed to go to the prom, my mom would buy it for him but if he ends up not coming here it would be $65 down the drain because there’s no refunds..

4)His bank took $370+ from his account leaving him with less than $200..

He tried explaining that the bank took money from him because he had over $500, yet when he asked they didn’t want to say why they took the money when his mother asked they told her some bullshit excuse that maybe it was because of fees that she had because the bank account was at her name, but when she said that she paid everything and that there’s no reason for them to take money out of her sons bank account they said that they’ll put the money back in a few days, it still hasn’t happened. And my mom has an odd feeling that his mom had something to do about that money, because his bank account is at her name and she can control that type of stuff and she doesn’t particularly like me or the idea that her son is going to Puerto Rico to see me..

There’s just so many things happening and I really don’t know what to do, I wish I could help him but I don’t have any money left, and I even rented a room in the hotel that is four stars to stay in for three days and two nights, because I wanted our first meet to be special and for him to have a good time here but if he ends up not coming here I’m going to be so lonely in that hotel room & prom is just going to be a complete disaster for me, I know he’s trying his best, but it just hurts the fact that he might not be able to come here.. when we’re so close..

We got the prom ticket! He sent me the money for the ticket through western Union & I bought the ticket.. all he needs is the PLANE ticket please wish us luck!! I’m getting a bit more hope ❤️

UPDATE: WE MET & HAD AN AMAZING TIME TOGETHER!
