Did you add clothes to your registry?

I have been working on my baby shower registry all morning and I noticed that I didn't add any baby clothes to it.

Part of the reason is that I won't find out the gender until next week. I also hear that people always buy you clothes whether or not you register for it, and people like to pick out outfits on their own.

Is this true? If so, is there anything else you recommend keeping off the registry? For intance, I haven't added baby shampoo for the same reason

I registered for a few clothing items, but that's only because we wanted people to see the kind of clothes we wanted to dress him in, does that make sense? Lol. Like we were giving people a couple things to base what they would inevitably buy us off the clothes on the registry.

I think you will receive clothes whether you ask for it or not. Also I didn't put shampoos and baby wash on my registry but I had to kind of spread the word that I wanted it before someone got it for me so that's just my experience with that.

We got ALL clothes. It was nuts. Don't bother registering bc ppl will buy you what they like

I'm opting to put NO CLOTHES on my registry. I can buy clothes myself. Id rather people buy the better stuff for my shower. Plus people always end up buying clothes anyway. I'm not putting clothes, blankets, bibs, shampoos/lotions, etc.

I put clothes on mine. We get 10% back on purchased registry items at babies r us, so I figured if people got some I might as well use the discount. I know people will get some that aren't on the registry and I'm good with that, but I also know people that really stick to registries.

I only registered for the basics like white onesies and socks. We received so many clothes, I don't know that baby boy will even be able to wear them all before he outgrows them.

I didn't put baby clothes on and got TONS of them..I also got a lot of baby toys, washcloths, bathtowels and soaps/lotions/baby wash

I was also told not to put baby clothes on my registry. So I didn't. Like others, I was told that people would buy them for you anyway. Same with diapers and wipes- so I didn't put them on mine either. I did add a starter kit of shampoo and body wash. We also put only a small amount of toys on our registry-just ones that we really thought were fun and cute.

I did world record for a lot of like baby shoes. Because I think they are so cute but can't bring myself to spend the money on them because they are pretty useless . I also did it to give people an idea of the kind of clothes we like . We are pretty picky I like little men baby clothes . Not ones with like trucks and mess all over them . That being said I will accept all that is given with a smile and thank you. If we don't like it he simply wouldn't wear it much if at all.

I'm super particular about clothes. I think a lot of the stuff for baby girls is too many frills and glitter. So I added an entire registry for Carters/OshKosh so that people could see what I leaned towards in terms of style. I know people will probably veer but this was my best attempt.
