Scammer opening cases on PayPal
so I’m EXTREMELY worried right now. One of my customers debit cards recently got hacked and she had to get a new card.
I’ve had 3 transactions with her, 2 which were on PayPal and PayPal as you know is connected to your card that you enter.
And I recently got two emails that stated that “she” which is whoever actually hacked her account, opened 2 claims saying they didn’t authorize the money transferred.
I just spoke with her and she dosent even have access to the PayPal account since her card was hacked. I don’t know whether to respond or to call customer service because if it’s in the hackers favor, I can lose money I don’t even have.
I spoke with her but she said she will be waiting til Monday to get in contact and see what’s going on but I want to see if there’s anything I can to do avoid getting scammed.
I know PayPal is safe, but what can I do if someone’s card was compromised, (she got a new card) and the hacker is now trying to claim my money thru PayPal? Idk what to do
