Anyone have a partner who is in national guard? Question

My husband is going to do national guard. I just had out first baby 2 months ago and she’s only 1 month it makes me depressed but I just have to deal with it. He’s not gonna do active duty because with national guard he said you can still come home to see you family don’t know if that’s true because I’m very clueless when it comes to military sorry I’m new to this stuff he said he would be gone for 6 months or do you always get deployed? It’s just hard I can’t keep my daughter away from her father for that long 😔
