Do you care about the affects of your personal carbon footprint / contributions to climate change that you will leave behind for future generations?
Or do you not care because you won’t be around?

I care very deeply but not really as much for the people as I do the animals. I see animal displacement in Greenville all of the time and it has disastrous consequences. Many humans don’t really give a shit so I don’t name them as being my endgame priority for why I do what I do— I do what I do for those are truly one with the earth, the ones who care because it is all that they have and it is all that they want. Their motivations are true and their motivations are natural.

I do it for them.

Yes, I care about the way that I conduct my life. But I care way more about the industries that I support and the politicians that my vote put into office because that is where the real impact needs to be had. Yes, personal choices are important. No one is absolved from their role in contributing to climate change, but specific companies and industries are the BIG contributors to the carbon in our atmosphere. Major systemic changes are needed and coming. Otherwise, part of this world will be uninhabitable, and the lives of your children and grandchildren will be a whole hella of a lot harder than yours or your parents. 
So if you don’t care, you need to start.

I do, that's why we do as much as possible. We reuse our water, we use so much actual garbage that we only need to take our bins out like once every three weeks before they're full, and we recycle. We don't drive our every two seconds for something and we don't waste electricity either

I care enough to make an effort to conserve energy, stop using single use items like paper plates /towels/bags, recycle properly, pick up trash with the local community, etc
I don't care enough to go back to the stone ages and do away with commercial travel among some of the other ridiculous plans being putting out there.

I care and it kills me that my town doesnt have recycling 😭 Seriously.. wtf!!!! So I try hard to be conservative on how much plastic we use.

so much. i wish it wasn’t so damn impossible to not have to buy single-use plastics. i do my best though. reusable straws, water off while i’m brushing, metal water bottle, and recycling. next step is composting!!!
