Do you tell your boss?

If you have an interview somewhere else? I do not make enough money and its not going to be raised. We've asked and they don't care. I work retail. I have an interview in a few days at a nursing home that my sister works at, that's why I got the interview so fast, for 2 more dollars so obviously i would take it. Some people say not to in case you don't get the job but we are short handed here so I feel bad

No, you tell them if you get the job, which you would give a two week notice. If you tell them you’re looking elsewhere they may cut your hours esp since it’s retail.

Don't tell. And don't feel guilty. After you get the job, you can agree when to start and give your boss ample time to get a replacement for you depending on your contract. Unless if they want you to start immediately. But don't tell. Because some bosses count that as someone who will leave any time and let you go if they are thinking of reducing staff

I wouldn’t tell your current employer. They could use it against you. Don’t tell them until you’re putting your two weeks notice in.
