Can anyone help

I will be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow, I had light spotting yesterday followed by mild period cramping, Gone today. Spoke to my midwife who made me an appointment for an ultrasound tomorrow. What should I expect? What will they do and what will I be able to see?
