HPV??

Question

Can someone tell me how HPV works? So I've heard condoms aren't effective in preventing the spread of it. Does this mean you have to abstain until you don't have it anymore? Is it like an std? Do you have to notify your past and current partners you have it?

I would tell anybody you’re with. Cause you can spread it easily. 
Now... There are diff strains of HPV. You can get vaccinated against the most harmful ones that cause cancer but you can still get the other strains. Most of the time, they’ll clear up in their own, but it’s important to go to your gyno to monitor this, cause any type of infection can worsen and may develop into cervical cancer.

HPV is an STD,it does not go away it does go dormant. 
There is high risk(cervical cancer) 
And low risk (genital warts)
You should inform a partner of your status .
80% of the population have HPV, there is no HPV test for men.
