Strep throat??

Hello ladies! I believe I’ve been struggling with strep throat but I haven’t had a fever. I’m 4 weeks 6 days pregnant and really don’t want to take antibiotics if I don’t have to. Do you think it’s safe to try and let it pass without medication

I think you should head to the doc. You can always refuse treatment once you get an actual medical diagnosis, if its something that can pass without meds!

Go to your OB if you have one established- while I was pregnant with my first, all other doctors basically ran from me during the first trimester because you are allowed to take so few medications. My OB was able to recommend some safe things, and then once I got sick enough, they DID go ahead and prescribe antibiotics (my son is fine). In my experience though it’s better to stick with your OB for everything you can during your pregnancy because all other doctors defer to them- I even had to get the OK from my OB when I went to the dentist during pregnancy!
