Can the gyno give me something to have my period?

So I haven’t had a period since January and my husband and I are trying to get pregnant. We have been to the doctor twice in that time to get blood tests to see if I am pregnant and I’m not. 
Well I have my annual appointment at the end of May and I’m just wondering what they can do if you go without a period for months? Do they give you medicine? Or?

If you really aren’t pregnant then they will want to figure out the cause to correct it if they can. You may be put on some sort of medication and they need to see if your ovulating even if you don’t have your period. My period was so irregular and I was taking ovulation tests and they all came back negative for 3 months. I thought I was becoming infertile. Then I got pregnant lol I was ovulating even with my periods not being there all the time

When I stopped birth control it took me 5 months to get my period back. I think they can do some tests but I’m not sure about something to make you ovulate. Might just have to wait it out.. it might also be healthier for you to wait as well and get your hormones and body back to normal.. !

Thank you all for replying! I took a test on Friday and it was negative but I’m sure when I go at the end of May they will do a pregnancy test! I would love to be pregnant. I’m just wanting to know what the next step will be if I’m not pregnant

Get some bloodwork done to see if you are pregnant first
