To change due date or not?

Question

Ok so based on my LMP, I'm due 12/20. Based on my first ultrasound done at 7w I'm due 12/16.

I've been using 12/16 as my personal guide but doc left it at 12/20.

Today I had another ultrasound at 27w and she's big being "due" 12/08.

I know late ultrasounds are unpredictable and not too accurate to base things off of officially. However for planning things, such as having grandma come stay with us, etc... Should we go with the earlier date just in case? Doc didn't say if they will revise it officially.. But my question is unofficialy.. Should I revise it or not? This is my third pregnancy, and I'll be 41 so an "older" mom.

Babies come whenever they want... And generally the doctor will go off of your last period date unless an early ultrasound shows greater than 6 days different. That means your doctor is most likely sticking with 12/20. You should expect your baby to arrive somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks based off that. So anytime between 11/29 and 1/3.

No, my doctor says that after 20 weeks the gestational age is really for size purposes and your actual due date doesn't change.

No. Never change your own due date, always go with what the dr is going by bc their dates are what matter. They're the ones that will be overseeing you medically and you want to be on the same page as they are. The baby can measure off by a few days, it's normal. And it's highly unlikely they'll change it this late anyways bc babies grow at different rates now. Stick with the original date that your dr gave you.

My baby has been measuring 2 weeks and 3 days ahead the whole pregnacy and he kept my original due date

They only change due d date if it's off by more than 8 days :)

Baby size can fluctuate due to growth spurts. You should go off of your original due date unless the doctor says other wise.
