We call it milk neck. My son has GERD and his got bad enough to turn into a yeast infection. He was throwing up so much. We got nysten and it cleared up overnight. Just keep it dry!

Milk neck is what we call it 😂 but my daughter has it a lot but we try our best to keep it dry. Any time she spits up we wipe it. Make sure when you take your baby out of the bath you dry their neck really well!! And from what I’ve heard cornstarch helps!

It from drool or milk getting trapped under the neck. You can try putting desitin on it to help it heal. But you should check it regularly and make sure it’s dry underneath. It’s especially good to check after the baby eats.
