How long is this good for?

How long is breast milk good for after I thaw it out and heat it up to room temp? My baby only drank 2 ounces and I have 2 left. If she’s hungry again in like 2 hours or so can I give her this bottle to finish?

My son LOVES cold milk out of the fridge. Hes almost 3 months

You’ll get different answers from different people. I don’t heat milk so I’d be fine giving it a couple hours later if it had been in the fridge in between.

I read about 6 to 8 hours at room temperature for breastmilk. I can attest that it is fine to give to baby. I read a study that said since breastmilk is antibacterial it can ideally be left out at room temperature for up to 12 hours. I have a rule to definitely not do that, but it depends. Temps can vary, so keep that in mind.

BM can be reheated twice. I’ve put leftovers in the fridge and reheated it hours later.
