Sperm donor !!

Long story short .. its been 3 months since i filed for divorce i finally have my court date tomorrow and hopefully its finally over my ex husband and i tried for years and never conceived we found out his sperm level was at 0% he never wanted to take a treatment or take care of that and i think thats what broke us apart !! I was telling my best friend of 16 years that i want a baby .. i have a very stable job, apartment etc etc dont worry about the $$$ part !! ... she told me you know who would be an excellent sperm donor my friend richard .. he is 28 years old ( im 30 ) gay , extremely extremely handsome, very nice person, down to earth etc etc .. my best friend jokingly told him... hey my friend is looking for a sperm donor you should be his !! His response was: yeah sure why not ? I throw my sperm every time i masturbate 🤣 why not help you out so you can have the baby ?? I dont have a history of mental disorders/ illness etc etc .. im not responsible if your child comes out gay like me ( I wouldn’t mind i love and accept every single person ) i told him i would honestly do everything legally so u never ever feel obligated to spend a single dime or spend time with that said child since you would basically be a donor.. i told my mom about it and she told me it sounds great but wouldn’t you want a donor from someone that is not part of your life ?? Because kids start asking questions about who is there father ? What if that child finds out his father is gay and is ashamed .. what if you keep that secret and ur child finds out from another source that “ uncle richard” is his biological father and all these years you kept it from he/she.. what if richard wants to be part of that childs life and later on you meet someone who is not okay with that idea !!! so many doubts i need yalls opinion ???
