Period 20 days late w/ Mirena?!

Got my 2nd Mirena IUD placed about 5 months ago. My periods have always been right on time, but this month it’s 20 days late!! No spotting. No PMS symptoms (or pregnancy symptoms). Took a test, NOT pregnant. Some discharge. I guess I’m just hoping this is normal!!

When I had the Mirena, about a few months after it was inserted I stopped having periods. I didn’t have a period for over three years. it was great, until I finally linked my anxiety to it. So I had it removed and haven’t felt better.

I highly suggest reading up on common and abnormal side effects that are reported with mirena. Your doctor should’ve mentioned that irregular bleeding and periods are normal with mirena, especially the first six months. Definitely read the pamphlet on the manufacturers website and get yourself up to speed.
