Using Monistat

So I began using monistat 7. I used the first tube last night and today I found that I had A LOT of discharge. I went to sleep as soon as I finished inserting the cream in order to prevent leakage (as said on the instructions). It’s my first time using monistat (I’ve never had a yeast infection) so I don’t know what to expect after.

Is this my body’s way of releasing all the yeast?

Is it leakage? I woke up, checked and saw I had so much even though I was laying down so idk if it’s leakage or discharge. Possibly both?

What should I expect when using monistat?

Note: ‼️TMI‼️ the discharge is creamy and clumpy, cream color and odorless. Similar, if not the same, as my discharge before using monistat.
