Would you discontinue having sex until you're first check up?

I'm currently 6w4d pregnant. My fiance and I have had sex a couple times since finding out we were expecting and each time I have a small amount of bright red bleeding. He freaks out but I tell him it's more than likely just I'm hitting my cervix. Hes freaking out and I thinking we shouldn't have sex and I need to go see the doctor sooner than our 31st appointment. Would you stop having sex temporarily?
And answer in comments, would you go to the doctor sooner?

My fiancé and I continued to have sex whenever we found out, but I wasn’t bleeding at all. If I were bleeding I would stop because you have no idea why you are bleeding, it could just be you irritating your cervix but I would be cautious just in case!

My boyfriend and I continue to have six. The only times prior to my appointments that we didn’t were the first transvaginal scan, and the appointment following, with a Pap smear. Other than that we go at it unless the doctor will tell us otherwise. But if you’re bleeding you should stop and voice your concerns. Because your doctor may tell you to stop having sex. I would stop just until you see the doctor.

Bleeding during intercourse is common in the first trimester especially. If nervous or scared call your doctor and tell them what’s going on and ask if it is ok to continue. I have always been so sick first trimester sex never happened.

I'd give your doctor a call. I did have bleeding with my first, didn't stop having sex exactly for the reason you said. My doctor said it was totally normal and she wasn't concerned about it.

We continued having sex until I started bleeding at which point we stopped until the bleeding went away. It was only a few weeks but I didn’t want to risk anything just for a little sex

If i was bleeding yeah.  But by 12 wks my sex drive went bye bye so we hardly do it anyway 🤦🏻‍♀️
