How would you describe labor with epidural?

I’m curious the ladies that have already had kids, what is the pain like on an epidural?

Non existent once it’s working.

There is no pain. Only pressure that is very bearable. I throughly enjoyed my labor and delivery with the epidural. I was able to focus and stay calm without worrying about the pain. I'm also a wuss and knew I couldn't handle contractions and delivery 😆

Getting an epidural itself was absolute horror for me. Having the doctor put it in was probably the worst, most painful and traumatic part of my labor. But once it was in. I was finally able to sleep for the first time in two days. Pushing tho. The only thing I actually felt was a burning sensation "down there" it wasn't painful really just felt like a burning sting and was done.

I had 3 of them. My first epidural went in smooth but pushing I couldn’t feel a thing and I didn’t even feel the urge to push so they ended having to vacuum my son out cause he got stuck. My second epidural was amazing my delivery was so amazing and easy. My third was with twins and my blood pressure dropped and they had to give me ephedrine it was scary as hell and they turned it off. So if I could do it again I would not have one honestly after my last experience! But that’s my case and maybe other woman had great experiences but I did not like my last experience with the twins

I wanted to have a natural birth but was induced and the pain was horrible so had an epidural. In 20 minutes it started working fully and no pain at all. Baby was born in 4 hours 🤷🏼‍♀️, I was relaxed. Will try natural for baby #2._

Not to scare you but my epidural hurt both times. They couldn't get it in the first couple of tries but with that saying I think that has something to do with me personally and my body/spine because everyone else said they barely felt a pinch. 
I was 7cm dilated both times before I got it. Once it took effect it was amazing, no pain, could talk and focus and be comfortable during labor. With my first tho it did wear off on one side but must have only been a little bit because it was completely bearable and I could feel when to push... I actually preferred it like that than being completely numb. 2nd time didnt wear off at all. 
I will go as far as I can without just because I want the experience but once it gets to where its too much I will get it. 😊

I didn’t have any pain once I got my epidural. It was wonderful. Before I got one, I thought I was going to put my head through a wall. I apparently have no pin tolerance.

Terrible.  You are bedridden afterwards and mine was a LONG labor... epidural came out and had to be put back in twice.  Still could feel everything.  And because I was bedridden for so long my back was KILLING me and they wouldn't let me stand up to stretch it out.
If you do the epidural, wait until you are much farther along... at least in active labor.
I had a terrible labor experience.
